Dr Pradeep Dheerendra

I am a researcher with a PhD in neuroscience and industry experience in audio signal processing and embedded systems.

I am a postdoctoral research associate with Auditory Cognition Group, Institute of Biosciences, Faculty of Medical Sciences, Newcastle University, UK. Previously, I worked as a Research Assistant at Wellcome Centre for Human Neuroimaging (WCHN), Institute of Neurology, University College London (UCL), UK. I have also worked as a Senior Engineer in Media Processing - Audio team, Ittiam Systems, Bangalore, India.

I obtained my PhD in auditory perception and Masters in Neuroscience from Institute of Neuroscience (IoN), Newcastle University (NCL), UK, and Bachelors in Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE), National Institute of Technology Trichy (NITT), India.

I am a recipient of Wellcome Trust PhD studentship, and Overseas Research Scholarship from Newcastle University. I am a TATA Scholar, and a Narotam Sekhsaria Scholar. I was selected for Commonwealth Scholarship.
